Detroit City Council Resolution To Study Water Affordability Plan

UPDATE (5/12/15) — The resolution passed the Detroit City Council today by a vote of 7-0 (President Jones & Member Tate absent)

As the city of Detroit plans to restart over 25,000 residential water shutoffs, this resolution to consider a Water Affordability Plan originally crafted by the Michigan Welfare Rights Organization (MWRO) has been introduced.
